Even though he was very tempted by his instincts to chase them off, he stayed put. He knew he had to tell Aplicia the truth. "Aplicia.. Look, I can't come back with you.." he said and then sighed softly. He didn't look up at her, he couldn't. Xander got to his feet and started to pace around, staring directly at the ground. "I'm next in line for being Alpha and Tsodin.." he told her, stopping and then finally looking in her direction. It was quite clear that he was sad by the stoney stare in his eyes.

Aplicia dropped her head and sighed. "Ok." Then she brightened and ran to him. "Our packs could make an alliance. Well, if you'd like." Then she looked down again. "We could come visit you, or I could anyways." She looked sadly toward him, it truly was a sad moment, it could be seen in her eyes.

"Hey," he said, nudging her maw gently with his nose, smiling, "We'll always be friends and our packs can't do anything about that!" His tail swayed from side to side. Xander nuzzled her and sighed softly, "Our packs are a bit far apart though, right?" he asked her, blinking curiously.
