Xander's small laugh couldn't be heard with all the wind and air blowing into his creme colored face. The path he took was littered with moss until he exited a forest in which he came. "Almost ... there!" he called, his pace slowing up until it was a steady trot.

Aplicia laughed as she lifted her head and ran beside Xander. "Good, but it'll be terrible whenwe stop running!" She yelled as she followed him deeper into the lands.

He slowed down a little to speak. "Why would it be terrible? Do you really like running that much?" he asked, confusion rolling off of his tongue. Xander ran a little awkward and bumped into her side with a small grin.

Aplicia laughed "Sometimes. But also, when we stop, my adrenaline dies and makes me really tired and I don't want to stop!" She yelled playfully and bumped into him as well.

He made sure he kept up his trot as he listened, looking occasionally at Aplicia. "We could always talk for a bit, so you can gain it back. I'm not much of a runner, I'm used to being tired. Living on a mountain does that to you!" Xander laughed and nodded to himself, sighting the small stream just up ahead. They were basically there.

Aplicia kept running and fell into the stream laughing as she looked to Xander. She walked from the stream and shook the water out of her pelt. "You live on a mountain? Which one?" She asked, her worry and saddness rising. She really wanted him to come live at Merry Meadow with her Dasoto and Accalica. If he already had a home though, she'd understand. She watched him an d waited for him to speak.

He followed her up until the edge of the water. A small grin floated up on his handsome face again. "Mount Tsodin, of course! The best one of 'em all!" he said enthusiastically. With just a small push of his nose to her side, he made her fall back in. Xander laughed hard and jumped in himself. Even though it was Autumn, he loved the feeling of water swallowing his body whole.

Aplicia laughed as she fell back. She splashed him with water a little saddened by the thought that he was already living in a place, she would have liked to have him with her, but that was ok. At least she'd met him. She swam a little ways awy and looked back toward Xander. "I think I've been there before." She stated a smile rising to her maw.

He lightly tackled her in the cool water and smiled down at her. "Really? That's cool!" he said and got off of her. Xander sunk down in the water, letting it float over his shoulders. His smile ran away from his face suddenly though. "But, Vulpes, the Alpha, just asked if I was going to leave with a fae anytime soon.." he said. It wasn't the best thing that he wanted to hear, but luckily the conversation ended quickly.

She smiled then. "What's he trying to do, get rid of you?" Her smile faltered, that had come out wrong and she stated it. "I'm sorry, I..." Her voice faltered as she climbed out of the water and shook the drops from her coat. Then she looked back at him waiting for his next move.

Xander chuckled to himself a little as he waded in the neck high water. He wasn't offended, and he still wouldn't be even if she didn't apologize. "Nah, don't be.." he said straight after. A large smile grew fast on his broad maw. He didn't know what else he could say. He had a feeling that if he didn't say something next there would be a long, awkward silence.

Aplicia looked at him as a smile came to her maw as well. "So what will you do now then?" She asked as she began wagging her tail.

He smirked and replied after no thought at all, "Well, I don't have a plan. I never have a plan." A small draft blew over his head, unfortunately giving him enough chills to jump briskly out of the water. Winter was rolling in, and fast. Xander thought as this time of year as fun and games for everyone.

"Well, you could always run off with me." Aplicia laughed as she shivered. Aplicia looked around for a den and spotted one. She got up and walked toward it. "We'll finish our chat in that den." She indicated it and smiled at him.

He ran into the den like a bullet and immediately started to sniff around it's corners, making sure it wasn't home to a mother bear and her cubs. Or anything else for that matter. His security check passed and he settled down. He wouldn't want anything hurting him or his dear friend Aplicia.
"I can't do that..." he chuckled and raised his eyebrows, "That would be just crazy!" Xander started to groom his side, for the fur was starting to frizz, making him look like a moron in his opinion. "Well .. Not right now at least. I'm planning on helping my adoptive mother out with her new pups. I think she, and the rest of the pack will appreciate it. Besides, more pups are on the way." he paused. "I don't even know why I'm telling you this..."
