A Shadow upon them

Nallea walked upon Omber forest and was very, very quiet. She padded along until the smell of other wolves was upon her maw. An evil smirk came crossed her face. She howled. It was painful to hear, to the ones whom heard it, but to her, it was a sweet melody.

This was Raph's chance. Shadow obviously was doing something else, and Raphael was close by. His ears pinned back in pain of the howl, the white male thrust himself towards her. He wanted to get there first. For a moment, Raphael paused, his violet orbs scanning the lands for any sign of a black wolf with many scars and yellow eyes. He was safe. Shadow wasn't here yet. Raphael cackled darkly, then headed steadily towards the femme. "Hi," he growled as he walked over to her. He sunk into a deep bow. "I am Raphael, one of the wolves of the Sins...this pack."

Nallea bowed back. "Hello Raphael. I was in search of a pack and I stummbled across this pack. Does this pack have an alpha female??" she was moving toward him with affection.

Raphael shook his head. "No, but I'm not the alpha...actually, I'm the omega." The white wolf hung his head a little. But if this wolfess had thought him the alpha...was there a possibility at beating Shadow in battle over the Sins? "Although, if you wish to join the Sins, you'll have to prove yourself," he growled. "Shadow doesn't just accept anyone...I only got in because one of his pack members was carrying my cubs in her belly at the time!" Raph couldn't help but hold his head a little higher at that. It hadn't been Shadow who had gotten Angel first, but Raphael. She had fallen for Raph, she had given birth to his cubs, Ryuu, Sayuri, and Adramelech. Shadow had watched over the cubs carefully, but Raphael had been sure that one day he had seen jealousy in the wolf's amber gaze. "And I wouldn't expect to become alphess on yer first day, if you do join."

"Is this so called,'Shadow' around?" Nallea asked as she walked around Rapheal.

Raphael felt the want to go pout in a corner; this fae would obviously be agreeing with the rest of the pack that Shadow was the rightful leader. Well, the rightful leader wasn't so rightful in Raphael's opinion. But then again, it seemed that Shadow was not so fond of Raphael either. The rightful leader hadn't yet mated, hadn't placed his seed into a female of the Sins. No, Shadow, it seemed, was not a very good father. Raphael had noticed that he had no cubs in this pack.

In fact, Raph knew no others with the surname of Damnedfur...except for one. Raphael, as if he had forgotten about Nallea, suddenly went rigid. Pure. She had the surname of Damnedfur...did that mean that this young she-wolf Raphael had once travelled with was the daughter of Shadow Damnedfur, leader of the Sins? This was something Raphael had to find out about, and would find out about; nothing would stop him from ruining Shadow.

"He is here," Raphael breathed uncertainly, as if he would rather have just played along that he was the alpha, and perhaps Angel the alphess. And Shadow the omega. That would be a world in which Raphael would have loved to live in, but he knew that wouldn't happen anytime soon. Shadow was powerful, strong, and larger than any other wolf Raphael had ever seen. And yet he was this large without being overweight...no, Shadow seemed to be just fine there. He was fairly slender and any extra weight was likely muscle.

"Likely in the camp," Raph added, and he began to pad off, when suddenly, a pair of yellow eyes appeared and a black wolf strolled out of the darkness of the trees. Raphael cringed in horror; he knew this could end in punishment.

Shadow strode gracefully from the shades of the trees. At the sight of Raphael, a smirk crawled across the dark wolf's face. Scars covered his large, muscular figure. At first sight of Shadow, it was impossible not to realize that he was a powerful wolf, and certainly an admirable mascu. Shadow's fur was night-black, and his eyes a bright yellow that had a certain evilness hidden within them. As his amber gaze set upon Raphael, he had grinned because he had just heard every word. Shadow had watched Raphael from his place, seen the frustration in the wolf's eyes as he muttered that he wasn't the alpha.

"Well," he snarled. "Thinking you may have a chance at becoming the alpha?" Shadow raised a paw of oddly sharp claws, as if he had spent hours making sure the claws would pierce any flesh set before him. He brought them down upon Raphael's head, a great pleasure spreading through the wolf's body as he heard the wolf yelp in pain. It wouldn't scar Raphael, but Shadow knew it would give him something to whine about for a few days.

Shadow's large head turned now to meet the gaze of the she-wolf that Raphael had obviously been leading into the pack. Oddly however, when Shadow had heard her howl, he hadn't exactly felt so much pain as Raphael. Shadow himself had a horrid, haunting melody of his own that was truly demonic and horrible. Nallea, he thought she had said her name was. Unlike Raphael, Shadow did not bow when he introduced himself.

"I am Shadow Damnedfur," he growled, holding his head high. "Alpha of the Sins of Omber Forest." Shadow's yellow eyes burned into her gaze; he wanted to see just how well she would do in a pack led by a true demon. That's right. Shadow wasn't exactly your average wolf, and he wasn't afraid to admit it.

"So I see you have heard my howl. I wanted to know if there was an alpha female, master Damnedfur."

She thought he was kinda cute but she bowed in front of him.

"I would love to join your pack of Sins."

Shadow Damnedfur

Shadow's yellow eyes narrowed. Usually, he would have welcomed a femme in the pack, but he had a strange feeling about this one. Before you immediately assume that the broken, blackened, and beaten heart within Shadow Damnedfur had been healed at the very sight of her, that's not the case. Shadow merely had recognised the same symptoms that he had recognised in Lirhe, Shades of Grey, Storm, and at one point, even Angel. The look that femmes got when they liked him. The look he had grown to hate, like Shadow had hated love. His hate of love had driven him to kill, to long for the taste of the crimson liquid of death on his fangs.

"Alphess?" Shadow's voice began laughing coldly, and he spat on the ground in front of him. "Do you think having a mate would help me? No, an alphess would merely mean sharing power." Shadow's black bodice slunk about Nallea, his amber gaze surveying carefully. There was potential here, for a dark wolfess to be born from the ashes of a neutral one, or a light one for that matter. After a few more minutes of this careful surveying, Shadow spoke again.

"More wolven are needed in the Sins. You are accepted...as a gammess." His face and voice were both solemn and emotionless, cold, even. As if he really didn't care. With another swat at Raphael's head, which moved out of the way quickly, Shadow's stilts began to carry him steadily back to the camp. He turned his piercing orbs upon Nallea. "If you wish to join, I suggest you follow." There was a tone that was almost mocking in his voice.

Adramelech Whitestar

The young mascu could see his father's white pelt from a good while away, and Adra's tail wagged gently at the sight of it. Not because he was happy, but more because he was welcoming to the fact that Raphael was close...Adramelech had the strange feeling that being left alone with Shadow wouldn't be a very good thing. Perhaps it was the Lightened part of his blood speaking; his grandmother who Raphael had killed, had been a light wolfess. Adramelech was growing steadily...his form was already graced with a good amount of muscle, but he was slender and would easily be an excellent hunter, despite being the last cub born.

Not like Ryuu, who had been the first.

Adramelech's eyes crossed as he looked to the yellow ring around his muzzle. It was a strange marking, and he had certainly got it from his mother's side of the family. And yet, at that moment, he couldn't help but to realize that, with this ring, Adramelech held more power than Ryuu, even though Ryuu was bigger, stronger, and was more likely to lead a pack than follow. Young Adra, however, had a feeling that his destiny lay outside the boundaries of the Sins, outside of Omber Forest.

Had he known what was coming, Adramelech would have been very right indeed.

A horrible smell off reeking ash an hot air,like being trapped in a ring of fire was suddenly all around the four wolven,and why not one more join them?Pupiless red eyes followed carelessly as Demon strode over with thickly-framed legs.His fur was black,but not the usual dull,gray or raven black.It was like it had been a different color at one point,but had been singed into black.In a way,Demon looked like a walking inferno victim,yet he had never been in a fire all his life.His paws eventually brought him past Adra,thought he seemed not to notice the pup.But he notched his head an inch higher and walked faster,coming round."Shadow?"He nodded his head the alpha,then turned to the white wolf."Raphael."His grin was murderess.Then he inclined his head only slightly to the femme."Wolf."Then he was back facing Shadow."I....I have news."Something suddenly caught in his throat.Demon knew how Shadows anger flew.Maybe he shouldn't tell him...Let him find out on his own...Bah.Whats some pain to juicy news?"Angel.I think she`s left."He said simply,shrugging his shoulders lazily."She was there for a moment,and then I fell asleep,I woke up,and I found I grew another tail."He growled irritably,and soon all understood.A black bundle with violet eyes had followed Demon,apparently with difficulty.She looked rather lopsided.While her front legs were slim,her backs were heavy,and her head seemingly to large for her body.Her fur spiked in some places.Truly,Sayuri looked rather odd.She panted,than picked up speed as she spotted that Demon had stopped and Raphael was there."Pappa!"She called out suddenly,sliding under Demon`s belly and sheltering under the white pelted woven."I cant find Mamma!She left!She told me.She said not to follow,so I didn't.But then I did.And I couldn't find her!!!"She pouted,violet eyes gazing around curiously.

"Yes Mr.Damnfured." she followed him, then heard the news about the missing wolf. "I could find her, if you would like me to Mr.Damnedfur, instead of putting the other higher rank wolves in danger." she cocked her head as she asked.

[Shadow Damnedfur]

Shadow turned to Nallea, considering what she had just said, but then a plan struck him. The plan Shadow had been working on for so long...it loomed in his mind, and he realized that, with Angel gone, this would be the perfect moment to rid the Sins of the pups. Demon would help him, he was sure...the wolf didn't seem to like the cubs any more than Shadow did. And if they were all out searching for Angel, how would she know they hadn't just...wandered too far?

"Nallea, you go to search, but do not go far...only to say, the Hsida Shod Packlands and the Dhishida Packlands...and of course, the Realms of the Dead. No further, however...and Raphael shall go with you."

He nodded to the white wolf, whom was Angel's mate. He figured he may as well send Raphael to find his mate...but he doubted that they would find her. Shadow, had he been running off, would have gone much further than the surrounding packlands.

"Go."

He turned now to Sayuri and Demon, though his words were directed to the young wolfess, not to the beta. Shadow needed Demon here, so he could explain the plan and what Demon would do in this plan. Shadow could see, out of the corner of his eye, Adramelech standing a little way off. He motioned with his tail for the young male to come forward, which he did.

"Sayuri and Adramelech, go get Ryuu. Stay in your mother's den until I come to get all of you, alright? And Demon, follow me."

Without waiting for an answer, he flicked them off with his tail, and turned to Demon. With a brief nod to the other wolf, Shadow moved steadily into the forest, away from the cubs. He didn't want them around for this...it would be difficult if they knew the plan, and could call for Raphael.

Sayuri gave one pout and a tiny growl but followed instruction,nudging her brother playfully."Come on,I`ll race you back to camp!"She shot off already,back legs pumping hard.

Demon an obedient nod and followed Shadow carefully."Yes,Shadow?"His deep voice sounded,but it seemed to have a bit of a rasp to it.Domen seemed to be aging.

Adramelech grinned, his long legs pumping furiously in attempt to beat his sister in finding Ryuu first. He couldn't help but wonder why Demon had been called to Shadow, but he shrugged the thought off. Demon was Shadow's beta, and therefore would likely be called on in these sorts of situations.

Shadow nodded rather absently, then sat down upon the forest floor. "This is the perfect time. The time for us to take Angel and Raphael's cubs far away." His voice was certainly dark, murderous even. "Not kill...but we will take them away. Far away, so neither she nor Raphael will ever find them."

Sayuri`s heart was racing as fast as her legs,and she closed her eyes for a fraction of a second,only to crash into something sturdy.She blinkd dizzily and stared up,meeting black lightningbolt-shapes."Ryuu!I didnt...I didnt mean to!"Ryuu had stumbled backward and a growl erupted.His paw raised over top of Yuri`s head,but then let it fall back to earth."Whach where your going,you little cat!"Sayuri flinched,then tunred to Adra."Look!I hit Ryuu!"

Dmeon listened paitently,occaisonally nodding."Alright.Just tell me my job.You say jump,I ask how high."

Obsidian fur blew in the wind, giving it the unmistakable appearance of the blackest of smoke. Was this a part of Adramelech's heritage, coming out? The young brute's laughter echoed gently about the forest, and his grin was surprisingly wide as he skidded to a halt. Well, here was Ryuu. Now, they were to simply wait until they were called. The young wolf's laughter came to an end, and nodded solemnly, as usual, to Ryuu.

"Didya here 'bout mama?"

Adra's head cocked to one side in a curious manner that could only be described as puplike. Which, of course, matched him well, being as Adramelech and his siblings were not particularily old...slowly, they were advancing into their times as teenagers. It was quite obvious in Adramelech...with long legs, oversized paws, ears, and a tail, he looked quite entertaining, and that was no lie.

"What were you doin' anyway?"

Shadow's amber gaze locked on Demons, and again, he nodded. This was good...obviously, he had chosen well when Shadow had made Demon the beta of Omber Forest, and not another wolf. This would work well, and he couldn't help but grin sickly at the thought of finally ridding the Sins of the three siblings.

"We need to get rid of them...three packlands. Any three..."

His voice was dark as usual, the dismal feel to Shadow and to his words never seemed to leave. He was always that wolf that would never be considered like in even the slightest way...except, of course, that he had saved Pure from death as a cub. Shadow didn't kill cubs...he understood how it felt to loose them, and it was a terrible, broken feeling. But sadly, he knew these cubs had to go.

"And they have to go before Angel or Raphael returns."
