She hope somone would save her life but it was to late. One of the wolves pounced on her " ah " she said as her back hit the ground. One of the wolves paws scratched her face. Vacya, or 'Va' was staggering quickly around the sturdy edge of the high cliff. Her eyes were sunk low, and she was extremely thin. She hadn't eaten a real meal in weeks, and hasn't slept for long in a while. Before she set out on her tiring journey, she made a promise to herself that she would do nothing but search until she was reunited with her pup, Xander.
Not too far away though, she heard a small help for cry. Could it be?! Without hesitating, she ran to the source to see a group of wolves in a small, circle. They stood shoulder to shoulder and most were growling. Va's eyes almost turned to slits as she charged at them. "GET OFF OF HIM!" she snapped, sinking her yellowing fangs into a gray wolf's thigh. "MY BABY!" she cried, biting more wherever she could. All of a sudden a sharp pain came into her flank and she cringed.
Only a small whimper could be heard from her, and quickly she turned around, clawing the wolf who bit her right on the maw. Luckily, he whimpered and a couple scurried off. Then she lunged at the other two had decided to stay and swatted at them too. They finally ran off, tail between their legs. Va could feel blood just oozing out of her, but she would ignore it until later. As they ran off, she looked down at the whelp who she thought was her own. It wasn't. Tears of sadness and pain filled her amber eyes and she lowered both her ears and head, turning away. "You're not my baby." she said, not even to the pup in particular.
